Anxiety free dentistry has had an impact on my life. Prior to seeing my present sedation dentist, I last visited a dentist 9 months ago. Previous dentists never took my fear and anticipation of pain seriously, saying it was just the sound of the drill that made me nervous.

I can't point to any one aspect of your practice that has made me feel most at ease. I feel it is the combination of the peaceful location, the fact that every person I've met in your office has been so genuinely concerned for my comfort, your professional skills and that of your hygienists, and your listening skills. In just the few visits I've had with you, my phobias about my teeth and dentist have greatly faded - something I thought I'd never be able to say!

The Sedation/Anxiety free dentistry that I undertook was, in a word, painless. I wasn't sure what kind of a sensation to expect from the medication, whether it would be a disoriented or drunken feeling. Happily, it was neither; I only had the sensation of being pleasantly tired, as you might have after a long day of hard work. I was happy to sleep wherever I happened to be, and yet I was aware enough to respond to the hygienist's questions. I sat in the dentist chair at 8:00 am, and got out at 12:30 pm, it seemed to me only a brief period. The whole procedure was much, much easier than I had anticipated it to be, and I had anticipated it to go smoothly.

I don't think I can thank you enough for all you've done for me. Getting over the hump of the "first appointment in 20 years" has given me the confidence to get back on track with my teeth, and it is all due to the very professional, yet compassionate care that I've received from everyone at your practice. You've made a real change in the quality of my life.

Sedation dentistry has had an impact in my life. Prior to seeing my present sedation dentist, I last visited a dentist 6 years ago. I avoided the dentist for many years because I dreaded the very process of the basic exam and cleaning. Every year that passed, my anxiety grew. Seeing Dr. Ormsby's ad in the phone book and reading her website helped me make the decision to get back on the right track with my dental health. I knew it would still be hard, but the idea of sedation/anxiety free dentistry (which had been totally unknown to me) helped me finally take the step. I also feared how I would be treated by a new dentist after neglecting my teeth for so long, that a new dentist would think badly of me or make me feel worse with scolding.
